Welcoming our newest salve to the apothecary – Foundations is a specially formulated botanical brew designed solely for the intention of mending cracked skin, penetrating thick & calloused spots, & rectifying personal energy & situations.
 
As mid-winter woefully wages against our body, we're in constant mending of our souls & our physical body. The dry & cold climate has worked tirelessly to ware down our hands, feet, & other delicate skin such as elbows, knees, & cuticles. Additionally, the darkness & anticipation of spring has warn down our energy, tucked us tirelessly inside, & isolated us from projects, goals, & in ways – from the spirit of prosperity. At this point we are just eagerly sitting behind liminal gates waiting for our bodies & energy to align with our minds & desires, so we can just ravish onward!
 
Since moving to New Hampshire from Florida, I have been annually burdened by the pain of cracked heels, bloodied knuckles, & disheartened by the constant breakage of my partner's achey heels & hands. Thus it became my duty to carefully research & develop the solution to the winter woes! 
 
I am thrilled to finally offer you my long-anticipated cracked heel salve, that not only tends battered skin, but battered spirits too – let me explain..
 
As we find ourself in the midst of winter's fierce grip, we also feel the depletion of our spirit & our energy, & come February we're in a liminal space just before the transition from winter to spring. This time can often feel a bit scattered & unforgiving. Many people feel lulls not only in their own physical & mental capacity, but also in work, finances, relationships, & our spiritual practices – it can be hard to foresee what the future ahead may look like as we await this turning of seasons & reawakening of life. 
 
This is the time of tending our own foundation, & what is more foundational than foot magic – an age old practice that is deeply rooted in many cultures & folk practices. To tend the feet, is to tend to the paths, our opportunities, & our roots. 
 
Foundations is a deeply grounding spirit, but it is also so much more – it is the spirit that teaches us what it is to tend to our needs, to realize & thus rectify what is in need of mending. A lot of foot magic is hot work, but this spirit seeks to cool – to soothe problems & energetic irritations, to revitalize tired spirits, to prep us for the work that is ahead.
