Crafted entirely by hand by Jaq, this natural clay altar is a tribute to ancestral resilience & the quiet strength behind the phrase non è niente — “it’s nothing.”
 
But within those words passed down over generations lives a deeper truth: you are safe, you are held, you will get through this.
 
Inspired by the ancient cobblestone roads of Palermo, Sicily, where my great-grandparents once walked before coming to the States, this altar was born from ancestral memory & adornment. From the cracked walls wrapped in vines, weathered streets, & the sacred warmth of old buildings shaped by time. I wanted to create a space that felt like an ancestral homeland— a cove of safety, a place for our spirits& their spirits to rest together. Alive. Protected. Loved.
 
Each altar is sculpted with care, adorned with real Sicilian tiles, & created through hours of shaping, incantations, and reverence to the spirits who guide us home. Designed to hold a tea light candle, ritual oil, or incense (cone or stick), this piece is both functional and symbolic — a sanctuary for grief, hope, healing, and connection.
 
Let it become a space for daily rituals, ancestral veneration, spirit work, or simply a place to breathe deeply & remember: you do not walk alone.
 
 
 
Details:Each altar is handcrafted by Jaq & uniquely made to order. It may ship seperately from other items in your order at a later date, as made to order handcrafted altars can take up to 4 weeks to craft & allow to settle before shipping.
Finished with gloss sealant & hand-painted detail, it can be wall-mounted with a nail or placed on your altar or other counter space.
